Lagunya cukup bagus, walaupun tidak sedasyat respon 1st singlenya, tapi lagu ini lebih memiliki karakter Agnes yang enerjik. Kepergian Agnes untuk belajar musik ke Amerika juga mempengaruhi gaya vocal Agnes dalam bernyanyi di lagu-lagu album yang rencananya akan diberi judul "Sacredly Agnezious" ini. Tidak hanya itu aja, cewe yang terkenal sangat perfectionis ini juga menggandeng banyak musisi terkenal di tanah air dalam penggarapan album ini.

[MOVIES] We Own The Night

We Own the Night is a crime drama film written and directed by James Gray and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes and Robert Duvall. It is the third film directed by Gray, and the second film to feature Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg acting together, the first being The Yards, which was also directed by Gray. The film's title comes from the motto of the NYPD's Street Crimes Unit, which disbanded in 2002.

The film premiered May 25, 2007 at the Cannes Film Festival. It was released October 12, 2007 in the United States and Canada. It was released in the United Kingdom on December 14, 2007 and was released in Australia on February 28, 2008.

PLOT

The film is set in Brooklyn, New York from November 1988 through early April 1989. Bobby Green (Joaquin Phoenix) is the manager of a nightclub in Brighton Beach that is frequented by Russian gangster and drug lord Vadim Nezhinski (Alex Veadov). Bobby has distanced himself from his police chief father Burt Grusinsky (Robert Duvall) and his police captain brother Joseph Grusinsky (Mark Wahlberg), preferring to remain on the sidelines and enjoy a hedonistic life with his girlfriend Amada (Eva Mendes). When police forces led by Joseph make a raid on Bobby's nightclub, hoping to net Vadim, Bobby refuses to cooperate. The incident strains his relationship with his father and brother even more, to the point that he and Joseph exchange blows.

The police are unsuccessful in capturing Vadim, who decides to retaliate by having Joseph killed. The assassination attempt is botched and Joseph survives, although he suffers a shot to the head that leaves him hospitalized for months. Bobby visits his brother in the hospital and, undergoing a change of heart, resolves to help his father and the police in their fight against Vadim. Despite Burt's apprehension, Bobby works undercover for the police inside Vadim's drug-smuggling operation.

During a white-knuckle car chase in a severely blinding thunderstorm, Burt is killed by Vadim's men. Joseph and Bobby, who has taken the police exam and become an official member of the force, work together to bring Vadim down. The highlight being that Bobby personally kills Vadim in a raid. The film ends with Bobby graduating and becoming a full-time police officer.

[MOVIES] The Rocker

The Rocker is an upcoming comedy to be released August 20, 2008. It stars Rainn Wilson, Christina Applegate, Teddy Geiger, Will Arnett, Emma Stone, and Bradley Cooper. The teaser trailer has also been released. This film has been rated PG-13 by MPAA for drug and sexual references, nudity, and language.

PLOT

The Rocker tells the story of a failed drummer who is given a second chance at fame. Robert "Fish" Fishman (Rainn Wilson) is the extremely dedicated and astoundingly passionate (not to mention sweaty) drummer for the eighties hair band Vesuvius, who is living the rock n' roll dream until he is unceremoniously kicked out of the band. Twenty years after his rock star fantasies are destroyed, just when Fish has finally given up all hope, he hears that his nephew's high school rock band A.D.D. is looking for a new drummer. They reluctantly make him the newest member of the band, giving him a chance to reclaim the rock God throne he's always thought he deserved, and taking the young band along for the ride of their lives

[EVENT] Kido and Setiawan win Olympic Men's Badminton Doubles gold

Hendra Setiawan and Markis Kido of Indonesia defeated Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng of China in the Badminton Men's Doubles final on August 16.

Cai and Fu comfortably took the first game 21-12 but was tied by the Indonesian pair, who won the second game 21-11. Setiawan and Kido showed their superiority in the third game, taking it 21-16.

This is the first Badminton gold medal for the Indonesian team in this tournament.

This gold medal will be a special gift for the 63th Independence Day of Indonesia.

[MOVIES] Hellboy 2 : The Golden Army

Hellboy II: The Golden Army is a 2008 film based on the fictional Dark Horse Comics character Hellboy. The film is directed by Guillermo del Toro and is a sequel to the 2004 film Hellboy, which del Toro also directed. Ron Perlman reprises his role as the titular character. The film was commercially released on July 11, 2008 in the United States and Canada.

PLOT

In Christmas of 1955, a young Hellboy is told a bedtime story by his father, Professor Trevor Bruttenholm (John Hurt), involving an ancient battle between humans and mythical creatures. A Goblin built an unstoppable clockwork army for Balor, the King of the Elves, which could only be controlled by those of royal blood provided no one challenged their right to do so. This 'Golden Army' of 4900 soldiers or "70 times 70 soldiers", decimated the humans so mercilessly that Balor forged a truce with them to stop the bloodshed: man would keep his cities and the creatures would keep their forests. Balor's son, Prince Nuada (Luke Goss), didn't agree with the truce, and left in exile. The crown was broken into three pieces, one piece going to the humans and the other two kept by the elves, so the Golden Army could never be raised again.

In the present, Nuada decides to declare war on the humans. He collects the first piece of the crown from an auction and kills his father for the second. His twin sister Princess Nuala (Anna Walton) escapes with the final piece. Meanwhile, Hellboy (Ron Perlman) is having relationship issues with his girlfriend Liz (Selma Blair). He is also having trouble accepting that their organization, the BPRD, must remain a secret. During a mission to eradicate thousands of ravenous tooth fairies, which Nuada set loose as he took the first piece of the crown, Hellboy reveals himself to the world. Abe Sapien (Doug Jones) discovers that Liz is pregnant in the commotion. Furious about the public unveiling, Washington sends a by-the-book agent, Johann Krauss (voiced by Seth MacFarlane), to take command. Krauss is another "special" agent of the bureau, existing in a containment suit as a gaseous being of ectoplasm. They track the tooth fairies to the Troll Market, an enormous merchant city hidden under the Brooklyn Bridge, for clues. Abe stumbles into Nuala, who has obtained a map leading to the Golden Army, during their search, and quickly falls in love with her following a brief psychic encounter. She is brought under BPRD protection following an attack by Nuada's companion Mr.Wink and a forest elemental.

Nuada tracks his sister to BPRD headquarters using their magical bond, which causes them to share wounds and allows them to read each others' thoughts to an extent. Nuala, sensing her brother's arrival, burns the map and hides the final piece of the crown within one of Abe's books. However, the real map is on the canister. Nuada kidnaps his sister and mortally wounds Hellboy with his spear. Unable to remove the spear shard, Johann, Liz, and Abe take Hellboy to the location of the Golden Army, hidden in Northern Ireland. They encounter the Goblin that oversaw the creation of the Golden Army, and he brings them before the Angel of Death, who has been waiting for their arrival. Though told that Hellboy would doom humanity if he lives, and that she'll suffer the most from it, Liz pleads for Hellboy not to die. Amused by her choice, the Angel removes the spear shard from Hellboy's chest and tells Liz to give him a reason to live. She reveals to Hellboy that he's going to be a father.

The Goblin leads the team to the resting place of the Golden Army, where Nuada awaits them. In exchange for Nuala, Abe gives him the last piece of the crown. With the crown reformed, Nuada invokes the Golden Army and has them attack the agents. Counterattacking proves pointless, as the soldiers magically reform themselves when destroyed. Hellboy challenges Nuada for the right to the crown, and Nuada is forced to accept. Hellboy defeats and spares Nuada's life, but the Prince tries to stab Hellboy in the back. Nuala commits suicide to stop her brother. Abe rushes to Nuala's body and psychically tells her his feelings before she dies. Liz then melts the crown, shutting down the Golden Army forever. As the BPRD agents leave the underground compound, Agent Manning (Jeffrey Tambor) reprimands them for their actions. To his surprise, Hellboy, Liz, Abe, and Johann all hand over their belts (though Hellboy keeps his pistol) and announce their resignation from the bureau. As they walk away, Hellboy contemplates his future life with his baby. Liz stops and corrects him, saying "babies", surprising him with the fact that she's pregnant with twins.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a 2008 CGI animated science fiction film. It is slated for release on August 14, 2008 in Australia and August 15, 2008 in the United States and United Kingdom by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film premiered at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre on August 10, 2008. It will be the seventh Star Wars feature film to be released in theaters - the first since 2005's Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - and will be the first animated Star Wars feature film. It will also be the first Star Wars film to not be distributed by 20th Century Fox, with Warner Bros. instead handling distribution.

PLOT

The Clone Wars takes place between Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The eponymous Clone Wars rage between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic. When Jabba the Hutt's son, Rotta the Hutt, is taken by a group of renegades, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi depart in search of answers: where is Rotta the Hutt, and who is controlling this mysterious renegade group? Yoda sends Ahsoka Tano along as Anakin's apprentice.[2] Count Dooku will unleash his minions, including Asajj Ventress, to cause havoc for the Republic and to make a three way war between the Galactic Republic, the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Hutts.

[MOVIE] Step Up 2 - The Streets

Step Up 2 the Streets (aka Step Up 2: The Streets) is the 2008 sequel to Step Up from Touchstone Pictures. The movie was directed by Jon Chu, and choreographed by Jamal Sims, Hi-Hat (Bring It On) and Dave Scott (Stomp the Yard). Patrick Wachsberger and Erik Feig of Summit Entertainment produced with Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot of Offspring Entertainment and Anne Fletcher, the director of the original film.

Step Up 2 the Streets is set in Baltimore, Maryland. It follows Andie West (Briana Evigan) as she pursues her big dream of becoming a street dancer. Her mother died of cancer when Andie was 16. Andie now lives with her mother's best friend Sarah (her guardian) but feels like she does not belong anywhere. While she is doing badly at school, it is her passion for dancing that brings something good into her life. She rehearses regularly with her 'crew', the 410, to keep the title of the illegal competition 'The Streets'. Sarah is tired of the crime and harassment by the 410 and tells Andie she will have to go to live with her aunt in Texas if she doesn't turn her life around.

Andie's friend and older brother figure Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) meets her at the dance club, The Dragon. Tyler tries to persuade her to audition for the Maryland School of the Arts, where Andie has to audition for a place, thinking it will help her life as it did his. When Andie refuses, Tyler decides to battle her for it. In a memorable dance scene, Tyler does great moves and wins the battle. The two head back to her place and Tyler convinces Sarah to let her join MSA. She agrees, and Tyler leaves Andie to go on tour with Nora, confident she can make it. Chase Collins (Robert Hoffman) persuades the school director and his brother Blake (Will Kemp). When Andie's studies come before the crew, the members are not happy and decide to kick her out. So Andie and Chase form a new crew with help from many people Chase knows at the school who are not accepted as who they are, including Andie's new friend Moose. Chase has a copied key to the studio and the crew secretly practices their routine late at night when the school is empty. They performed at the local dance club, but were rejected and kicked out. Missy (Andie's friend, played by Danielle Polanco) joins the crew after dropping out of the 410 following the event, as she was disgusted by the crowd's reaction. Missy tells the crew that the only way to enter the streets is to first do a prank and post it on the internet to show that the crew is entering the competition. Wanting revenge from being humiliated before, Chase decides for their prank they are going to make a fool out of Tuck (leader of the 410) and also left a dead fish in the vent of Tuck's home.

The crew goes to a family barbecue at Missy's house, and Chase's ex-girlfriend, Sophie, tags along. She begins to develop a crush on Moose after salsa dancing with him.

But the 410 doesn't like the fact that they had a new crew to compete with so they warn Andie's new crew to stay out of the Streets or there will be consequences. When Tuck finds Chase, he assaults him because of his prank. Chase comes into school the next day badly bruised and hurt. On top of that the dance studio has been trashed by the 410 late at night. Director Collins will not allow anyone from the school to be involved in these types of competitions. He then decides to expel Andie from MSA because of her involvement with the Streets competition. When asked if there was any other students involved, Andie does not tell him about her crew.

When Sarah hears the news of Andie's expulsion, she tells her that she has had enough of her behavior and that Andie now must go to live with her aunt in Texas. When Andie is packing her bags to leave for Texas she receives a text message that the Streets is on that night, the same night as the MSA fundraiser. Along with Andie, her whole crew gets the text message. They decide to ditch the MSA fundraiser, except for Moose, and instead compete at the Streets. Andie's guardian hears about what Andie did to protect her crew and is proud of her. She allows Andie to compete at the Streets with her crew.

When Director Collins realizes his students are missing, he questions Sophie, who tell him where they are. Moose overhears and admits to being part of the crew. Moose takes Director Collins and Sophie to The Streets, just in time for the crew's performance. Director Collins sees them compete and realizes that the street dancing he has been opposing is in fact a legitimate form of artistic expression. He accepts Andie into MSA again. Then suddenly, to Moose's suprise, he gets kissed by Sophie. With Andie's crew as a group of friends supporting her and her education now being secured, the film finds its optimistic ending - a passionate kiss between Andie and Chase.

The director, Jon M. Chu also had a few appearances in the movie. One of them were as the stage play's director.

[MOVIES] Superhero Movie

Superhero Movie is a 2008 comedy film written and directed by Craig Mazin, and produced by David Zucker and Robert K. Weiss. Production began in September 2007 in New York. It was released on March 28, 2008 in the United States, and the UK release was June 6, 2008. The film was rated PG-13 by the MPAA for crude and sexual content, comic violence, drug references, and language.

Superhero Movie is a spoof comedy film that spoofs superhero films, mainly the first Spider-Man, following in the footsteps of the Scary Movie series of comedies, with which the movie's poster shares a notable resemblance. It mainly parodies the first Spider-Man in the way that Airplane! parodied Zero Hour!. The film also contains some homages to Airplane! and The Naked Gun such as how the actor, Leslie Nielsen, who played Dr. Rumack in Airplane!, plays Rick Riker's uncle in Superhero Movie.

PLOT OUTLINE

After being bitten by a genetically-altered dragonfly, high school loser Rick Riker (Drake Bell) develops superhuman abilities such as superhuman reflexes and armored skin (although he cannot fly). Rick decides to use his new powers for good and becomes a costumed crime fighter known as "The Dragonfly." However, standing in the way of his destiny is the villainous Lou Landers (Christopher McDonald). After an experiment gone wrong, Lou develops the power to steal a person's life force and in a quest for immortality becomes the supervillain, "The Hourglass." Throughout the movie, Rick tries to woo the girl of his dreams (Sara Paxton) and battle the comically vicious Hourglass and finally becomes able to fly.

Death Race is an upcoming action film written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. The film is a remake of the 1975 film Death Race 2000, based on Ib Melchior's short story The Racer, and stars Jason Statham in the lead role. The remake had been in development since 2002, though production was delayed by disapproval of early screenplays then placed in turnaround following a dispute between Paramount Pictures and the producer duo Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner. Death Race was acquired by Universal Studios, and Anderson re-joined the project to write and direct. Filming began in Montreal in August 2007, and Death Race is slated for a release on August 22, 2008.

SYNOPSIS

The Death Race story follows Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) in an action-thriller set in the post-industrial wasteland of tomorrow, with the world’s most brutal sporting event as its backdrop. A penitentiary full of felons has inspired the jailers to create a grisly pastime ripe for lucrative kickbacks. Apalagi baru baru ini dia juga merambah ke dunia sinetron dan terlihat beberapa kali membintangi product iklan di TV. Nah sekarang waktunya di tahun 2008 ini dia juga akan merilis album perdananya bertajuk "Menggapai Mimpi" produksi SonyBMG. Single pertama yang dipilih berjudul "Lets Get The Beat" merupakan sebuah karya Maia Estianty. Selain menjadi single pertama, lagu ini juga dipakai oleh sebuah product motor menjadi icon musik pengisi iklan nya. Lagunya agak sedikit nge-rock namun nuansa popnya tetep kelihatan juga, dan pastinya tetep asik kok. Gara-gara lagu ini juga, Dirly menjadi Honda Beat Ambassador.

Lagu ini bernuansa Pop dan agak mirip dengan lagu nya M2M tapi memang seperti ciri khas Cinta Laura yang sedikit unik dengan bahasa Indonesianya. Dua yang dulu sempat terkenal dengan single "Kau" kini kembali merilis album terbaru nya dengan single andalan berjudul "Takkan Hilang". Band yang mengusung aliran pop acoustic ini memang selalu memiliki single yang bagus walaupun masih terbatas di kota-kota besar saja. Kini setelah sukses mendulang nama di area local, waktunya mereka go nasional dengan album mereka "Cerita Hati". Lagu yang menjadi single pertama ini terdengar sederhana, tapi lumayan asik juga dan dalem banget. Album “Cerita Hati” ini merupakan kumpulan pengalaman hidup setiap personil DUA yang dituangkan dalam bentuk lirik dan melodi.

Single ini diambil dari album kompilasi "The Best Republik Cinta Managemen" duet dengan Mulan Jameela. Selain Dewi Dewi album ini memuat beberapa lagu baru dari artis-artis naungan Ahmad Dhani seperti Dewa 19 dengan lagu barunya "Perempuan Paling Cantik di Negeriku Indonesia" dan "Nasionalisme" yang nyanyikan The Rock dengan Koil. Album ini sendiri rencananya akan segera rilis di bulan Agustus ini.

Kini mereka sedang sibuk merilis 1st single debut album mereka twins title "Bodo Amat Ah". Kalo denger lagu ini memang terasa bagai vocalist cewe beraliran dangdut yang menyanyikan lagu pop. Tapi lagunya emang keren so jangan pernah menghina mereka karena mereka akan bilang "Bodo Amat Ah". Coba aja simak lirik single pertama mereka yang nyeleneh, lagu ini sinopsisnya sederhana yaitu bercerita gaya acuh gak acuh seorang wanita terhadap sikap lelaki yang semena-mena. Mala dengan latar belakang seorang penyayi & DJ, dan Budi dengan latar belakang personil salah satu band yaitu groove bandit yang pernah menelurkan album two years after (nominasi AMI AWARDS 2006).
