THE WATER HORSE

"Legend of The Deep"

7effrey.blogspot.com - Yesterday, I've watched Water Horse movie in Tunjungan 21 with my friends. Actually, I wanted to watch CJ7 and wasn't interested with Water Horse but they decided to watch it so I followed them. After we had watched the film for 2 hours, all of us agree that the film weren't interesting and so boring. However, its visual effect was great, the water horse was looked so real. I'll try to tell you the story so keep stay tuned.

This film is about a legend of water horse in Scotland. The story was started when a son named Angus McMorrow (Alex Etel) found an abnormal egg. Being interested with the egg, Angus brought it to his house. He was surprised when a baby water horse came from the egg. His mother didn't like animals so, he took care the baby water horse without his mother's permission. Angus's father was a marine soldier which died in a war so Angus live with his mother(Emily Watson), elder sister. and a man who worked in his house, Lewis Mowbray (Ben Chaplin). In that time, McMorrow's House was a basecamp of Scotland Soldier which was led by Captain Hamilton (David Morrissey).

The water horse was called Crusoe by Angus. The water horse was very unique because it could grow larger after it ate something. Crusoe grew up very fast so Angus couldn't hide it anymore and he told about Crusoe to his sister and Lewis. Lewis gave suggestion to Angus to move Crusoe to Lochness Lake and Angus agreed with that. Problem came when Captain Hamilton did a military training with throwing bombs to the Lochness Lake. After that, Crusoe became wild and frightening. Captain Hamilton also thinked that Crusoe was very dangerous, Angus was worried with Crusoe and tried to move Crusoe to a safe place. How could Angus move Crusoe to the sea? Could Crusoe run away to the sea?
